Athagora Cookie & Tracking Technology Policy

Last updated: 15 August 2026

Our position

Athagora does not believe that visiting a research website should automatically mean being subjected to unnecessary tracking.

We aim to use the minimum technology reasonably required to operate and understand the website.

What these technologies are

Cookies and similar technologies can store or access information on a visitor's device.

This may include cookies, pixels, browser storage and other comparable technologies.

Categories

Strictly necessary

Required to operate the website, protect security or remember essential privacy choices.

Where legally permitted, these may operate without optional consent.

Analytics

Used to understand how visitors use Athagora and how the website performs.

Where consent is required, these remain disabled until the visitor chooses to allow them.

Functional

Used to provide optional features.

Where required, these only operate after consent.

Marketing

Athagora does not intend to introduce behavioural advertising or marketing tracking casually.

If marketing technologies are introduced, they will be clearly identified and controlled appropriately.

Visitor choice

Where optional consent is required, visitors are able to:

  • accept optional technologies
  • reject optional technologies
  • manage their preferences later

Rejecting optional tracking does not prevent normal access to Athagora research.
